As the Fashion world heard the breaking news of Alexander McQueen’s death, many are mourning his passing as one of the greatest talents that has given so much to the fashion industry! I truly believe he had many great moments in his career but there were so many great ones yet to come and it is a shame that we didn't get to discover him completely.

I heard of his death through Rachel Zoe and her many updates I get every time she writes on her Twitter and I was completely in shock. It is so sad that he got to such a dark place in his life to commit suicide. I truly and genuinely think his clothes and accessories were masterpieces and unique like none other. If you wanted to stand out and be unique you wore McQueen. Anything from alien looking boots to British flag printed clutches to skull scarves! Some of the things that came down that runway I thought ‘how crazy is that?

The deeper I get into fashion I learn to appreciate people that take risks and make it their own. Those are the people that go down in the history books as forming and changing history. He had that very Rocker over-the-top style but in the same essence could pull off a very romantic softer side but still give us that McQueen trademark. With his pieces it was all about the detail and the bold and "out there" styles.

I really hate to say this but it is weird how you appreciate something so much more after you don't have it anymore. We seem to take advantage and overlook how great certain things are in life until they slip right through our fingers..... LONG LIVE MCQUEEN! You will truly be admired and missed.
