One trend that is a constant and universal between seasons is military trends. For spring and summer we are seeing a lot of camouflage and khaki pieces. Everyone from Target to Balmain are doing military separates. This is one of my favorite trends in the summer. I wear camo pants with a boot or a stylish sandal and aviators are a must! For me it is either a camo tee or a pant but not both as it is a busy pattern and will look overpowering to the eye! I have spotted a gorgeous olive and black stiletto sandal from Balmain by Giuseppe Zanotti that would pair amazing with a camo tee and some khaki or olive capri pants. Tory Burch has done some amazing green and black python print handbags and wallets that are great conversation pieces and you know me and accessories! Every year you can pick up camo pieces from Old Navy or Gap and then use your real dollars for those one of a kind pieces from the major labels. Last year, right before spring hit, I picked up at least 8 pairs of cargo pants in various colors and styles from Old Navy all for under $10 each! This is the one year I think anything goes and you can get away with being a little heavier with current styles and trends. I always think light and breezy for spring but am seeing lots of the rocker chic carrying into spring this year. While it is not for everyone, you can add accents and touches of military to your wardrobe to go with the trends. Gold translates well with the blacks, browns and olives. Big chunky watches or a statement necklace is sure to polish your look. Rope detail or chains with a rustic look could also be appealing. Whatever it may be that you mix and match together be sure it has you gearing up for battle.....
