This month I would like to salute 12 men of distinction. Men who wanted to make a stand and show their support for a very important issue – domestic violence awareness. On The Avenue Magazine has produced its first calendar, titled “Real Men Don’t Use Violence”, featuring all of these men. This calendar is intended to reach many people with its messages against domestic violence. There has never been a calendar like this before, and it’s time that this cause had something to make people sit up and take notice. 25% of sales of this calendar will go to organizations that work to end domestic violence and support women’s issues. I thank these men for giving their time to this cause. For this, they truly are “Real Men”. Not for how they look, but for their beliefs that nobody deserves to be abused, and their eagerness to make a stand for that belief. These men are: Nick Baggetta, Jarad Bryan, Bryan Cid, Bryan Dewitt, Lorant Divald, Kent Edwards, Micky Friedmann, Christopher Hanly, Will Howard, Kevin Jackson, Michael Radon and Stefan Talian.
